Three Gorges Dam Tourism 2019 National Day Reception Announcement Released! During this year's National Day holiday, the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area will implement flow restriction measures to limit the number of visitors received to 36000 per day. As the National Day approaches, in order to ensure the safe operation of the Three Gorges Water Conservancy Hub and the stability of tourism reception during the holiday period, the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area will continue to implement the identity card real name appointment reception system and peak hour warning and diversion measures for tourists. To facilitate smooth and convenient visits for tourists, the following tips are hereby issued:

01 Real name appointment method for ID card

The Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area does not charge admission fees. Due to the security needs of the scenic area, it is necessary to transfer to the scenic area's dedicated sightseeing bus for sightseeing. The sightseeing ticket is 35 yuan/person (excluding electric tickets within the scenic area), and the real name reservation method with ID card is implemented. Please purchase tickets and complete vehicle passage procedures according to the published ticket purchasing method and registration point. Tourists need to make an online real name reservation and pay the transportation fees of the scenic spot on the mobile phone end "Three Gorges Microenterprise", "Three Gorges Dam Tourism" WeChat official account platform or the PC end Three Gorges Dam reservation platform in advance. Only after successful reservation can visitors enter the scenic spot.

Reservation information includes: real name, mobile phone number, ID card number, visit time, etc. Minors (who have not obtained an ID card) and foreign tourists can directly book and process tickets at various ticket counters in the tourist area with valid identification documents.

Tourists can make reservations 7 days in advance through the above online methods. The online reservation for the day ends at 14:00 every day. Tourists who have made reservations must arrive at the tourist area before 4:00 pm on the reservation date to complete the admission procedures. The maximum daily reception capacity of the tourist area is 36000 people, and those who have not made an appointment in advance cannot guarantee reception on the same day.

02 Correctly apply for a vehicle pass

Yichang direction

Transfer to the Three Gorges Dam Area Tourist Transfer Center via the Three Gorges Special Highway - Night Pearl Triangle Reception Station or Fengjiawan Armed Police Inspection Station (for certification) to enter the park for sightseeing;

Zigui direction

Transfer through the Three Gorges Dam Expressway - Three Gorges Dam Tourist Transfer Center Zigui Transfer Sub center to enter the park for sightseeing (an additional transfer fee of 25 yuan/person is required); Alternatively, you can transfer to the Three Gorges Dam Area Tourist Transfer Center via the Three Gorges Dam Crossing Expressway - Daishi Armed Police Inspection Station (for certification) - and enter the park for sightseeing.

Special reminder: There are three certification points for the Three Gorges Special Highway, and one certification point for the Three Gorges Overturning Dam Expressway.

04 Traffic Restrictions

During the National Day holiday, the Three Gorges Dam tourist area implemented the principle of overall control of reservation flow:

When the number of visitors reaches 32000 and there are still 300 parking spaces left in the parking lot, a red warning will be activated; When the number of tourists in the scenic area reaches 32000, the entry procedures will be suspended, and will resume when the number of tourists is less than 32000; When the number of tourists reaches 36000, new arrivals will be completely stopped; When the number of stranded tourists at the Three Gorges Dam tourist transfer center reaches 3000, diversion and control measures will be taken on site.

05 Vehicle access procedures and free parking

Self driving tour vehicles. Please bring your driver's license, driving license, and vehicle insurance card to handle vehicle access procedures at the Sanjiaodi Reception Station, Yichang Tourist Night Pearl Consultation Center, and Fengjiawan Reception Station. To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the parking lot within the Three Gorges Dam tourist area will be open to tourists free of charge from October 1st (00:00) to October 7th (24:00), 2019.

06 Vehicle diversion

The parking lot of the Three Gorges Dam tourist area has a total of 3000 parking spaces. According to the remaining parking spaces of 700, 500, and 300, yellow, orange, and red warnings will be activated for each parking space. When entering the red warning, emergency diversion and control measures will be implemented for self driving tourist vehicles.

07 Ticket collection, admission, and refund methods

After purchasing tickets, enter the park directly with your ID card; Please use your mobile phone text message assistance code to pick up your ticket at the ticket window in the scenic area and enter the park (transfer tickets are only valid for the same day). If you need to cancel or refund the paid scenic spot sightseeing fare order, please log in to the purchasing website to apply for cancellation or refund. Orders that have not been exchanged for paper tickets can be refunded at any time; Paper tickets have been exchanged and cannot be returned or exchanged; Partial refunds are not supported for orders. If you need to reschedule, please apply for cancellation and rebook.
