The Measures require the catering and tourism accommodation industries in Chongqing not to actively provide disposable items, encourage the use of easily degradable and recyclable green and environmentally friendly products, promote the reduction of household waste at the source, and promote sustainable economic and social development.
Yangtze River Cruise has earnestly implemented the requirements of the "Measures" and actively responded to the initiative of the Yangtze River Port and Shipping Logistics Alliance · Tourism Passenger Transport Special Committee not to actively provide disposable items in Yangtze River Cruise hotels. Yangtze River Cruise has decided that from July 15, 2023, all cruise ships will no longer actively provide nine types of disposable items, including toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, sewing kit, razor, nail file, bath towel, shoe eraser, and sanitary bag.
