The Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area welcomes its first inter provincial tour group of the year

At 9:00 am on July 21st, the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area welcomed a tour group consisting of 32 Anhui tourists. This is the first non provincial tourist group to visit the scenic area after the opening of inter provincial group tours in Hubei on July 17th.

It is reported that the tourists in the tour group come from a company in Bengbu, Anhui, with the youngest being only 6 years old. The company organized employees and their families to visit the Three Gorges Dam in Yichang, where they learned about the flood control benefits of the Three Gorges Project using heavy equipment.

Mr. Zhang, a team tourist, said, "Since July, the continuous rainfall in the entire Yangtze River basin has had a serious impact on flood control in the middle and lower reaches, and Anhui has also undergone severe tests. A few days ago, I saw in the news that the second flood of the Yangtze River formed upstream has smoothly passed through the Three Gorges. Fortunately, there are dams that can intercept and regulate it, otherwise the consequences would be unimaginable

At around 9:15, after passing the health green code verification and infrared temperature measurement, the tourists successfully entered the park through facial recognition and visa scanning. Due to recent rainy weather and slippery roads, the visitor center has installed a large number of anti slip mats and increased the frequency of ground cleaning to ensure the safety of visitors. In addition, the regular and comprehensive daily disinfection work in the park also ensures that high-frequency contact areas are wiped with alcohol four times a day, and 84 disinfectant is sprayed twice a day on the ground that tourists pass by, striving to provide a safe and worry free tourist environment and create a good tourism experience.

During the tour, the group of tourists enthusiastically climbed up Tanziling to overlook the panoramic view of the project, walked into the 185 platform to observe the dam up close, and felt the magnificent Three Gorges Dam from different angles like the "Great Wall of Steel". Especially when tourists see the spectacular flood discharge scene, they are excited and express that their trip was worthwhile.

According to statistics, since the restoration of the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area, as of July 20th, the scenic area has received a total of 53500 tourists, including 17000 provincial teams. With the announcement of the resumption of inter provincial tourism by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the recent reception volume of the scenic area has increased by about 30% compared to the same period last month.
