The Chongqing Northeast Regional Tourism Cooperation Organization is composed of 15 districts and counties (cities) including Wanzhou, Fengjie, Wushan, Wuxi, and Lichuan in Hubei. At the Chongqing Northeast Regional Tourism Cooperation Work Conference, members of the organization listed promoting the integrated development of tourism in the Three Gorges as a common goal, and focused on the construction of the "six integrations":
One is the integration of tourism and transportation. The lack of smooth internal and external transportation in the Three Gorges region is a bottleneck restricting tourism development. It is necessary to accelerate the construction of external channels, form a three-dimensional external connectivity network of "railway, public transportation, water and air", and construct a number of tourist roads and scenic routes according to local conditions.
The second is the integration of product development. Guided by the development of comprehensive tourism, we will cultivate and create a number of high-quality scenic spots and tourist resorts, implement a number of major projects, and build a tourism spatial pattern of "one main and multiple branches, water land air integration, and river bank linkage".
The third is the integration of route cultivation. Strengthen the planning and design of tourism route products, connect points into lines, link lines into loops, and enrich and improve the route system; Optimize the product routes of Three Gorges cruise ships, cultivate diverse and flexible combinations of cruise ships and "water bus" routes.
The fourth is the integration of publicity and promotion. Adhere to the principle of "one card for Three Gorges tourism" and "one tone for marketing and promotion", actively promote multi-level and large-scale promotion of Three Gorges tourism, deeply cultivate the domestic and international "two markets", rely on high-speed railways, air routes, highways, etc. to expand customer sources, and strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges with foreign countries.
The fifth is the integration of public services. Further improve the public service facilities for tourism in the Three Gorges, enhance the level of tourism public services, strengthen the intelligent application of big data, further improve service facilities such as tourism consultation outlets, signage, tourist toilets, and parking lots in scenic areas, improve tourism distribution centers in various districts and counties, and achieve interconnection of routes, customer sources, and business between distribution centers.
The sixth is the integration of market management. Further strengthen the supervision and cooperation of the tourism market, continue to carry out comprehensive rectification of the tourism market order, and improve the monitoring, evaluation, and early warning system of safety risks in the "Three Gorges" tourism destination.
At the meeting, the key tasks for this year were clarified: vigorously promoting the marketing of the "Great Three Gorges" tourism brand, unifying the "Great Three Gorges" tourism image logo, building the "Great Three Gorges" tourism brand system, and strengthening the overall image of the Yangtze River Three Gorges tourism.
Optimize and enhance the supporting service functions of Three Gorges tourism, accelerate the construction of "water, land, air, and rail" transportation infrastructure in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, and achieve seamless connection of the Three Gorges tourism transportation network; Constructing the Three Gorges Tourism Distribution Center; Build a large "Three Gorges Tourism" tourism service platform, etc.
Actively cultivating the tourism market, organizing precise marketing, actively cultivating environmentally friendly "water bus" sightseeing fast boats, opening water buses from Wanzhou to Yunyang and from Wanzhou to Zhongxian, and extending water bus routes according to market conditions, enriching Three Gorges water tourism products, and cultivating new growth points.
Promote the integrated development of culture and tourism in the Three Gorges through activities, hold the second World River Song Festival at a high standard, and use the festival platform to enhance the overall popularity of the "Great Three Gorges" tourism.
