At the promotion meeting for the creation of a national level tourist resort held in July this year, the newly released "Yichang Three Gorges Tourist Resort Creation National Level Tourist Resort Work Promotion Plan" set the time target for the sprint to the national level tourist resort in 2021.

In 2018, the shantytown renovation and relocation of Pinghu Peninsula and the Three Gorges Cruise Center project, which had been troubling urban development for many years, made breakthrough progress under the leadership, coordination, and supervision of the Three Gorges Tourism New Area.

The Pinghu Peninsula shantytown renovation project, covering an area of 1660 acres, has completed the signing of contracts with 3085 households, accounting for 98.6%, and relocated 3041 households, accounting for 97.2%. There are 19 contracted units, including 17 relocated units; Approximately 155000 square meters of houses have been demolished cumulatively.

The Xiling Night Pearl area of the Three Gorges Cruise Center project has completed the delivery of 37.8 acres of collective land in Houping Village, and 250 households have signed contracts for relocation, while 7 units have been requisitioned. 122 households have signed contracts and 17 units have been relocated in the Xiazigou area of Yiling.
