Tourists can only enter the park after making a real name reservation on the official website and presenting their ID card for facial recognition.

According to the relevant person from the Marketing Department of the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area, the previous real name appointment, that is, after a successful real name appointment visit on the official website of the Three Gorges Dam or WeChat official account, tourists can exchange paper tickets with SMS auxiliary code or ID card to visit the park. After implementing real name ticket purchase, it is a real name reservation. When entering the park, tourists must present their ID card for facial recognition comparison before entering the park for sightseeing. This new regulation is implemented in accordance with the "Regulations on the Security and Protection of the Three Gorges Water Conservancy Hub on the Yangtze River" and the latest requirements of the public security organs, which is conducive to maintaining the safety of the Three Gorges Dam.

It is reported that tourists can log in to the Three Gorges Dam ticket purchasing website or the "Three Gorges Dam Tourism" WeChat platform to make real name reservations and purchase tickets, and enter the park with their second-generation resident ID card; Tourists who cannot provide their ID cards should bring other valid documents to the site to apply for admission. The Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area is open from 8:00 to 17:00 throughout the year, and the dam crest is not open to the public.
