Xiling Gorge

Xiling Gorge is known as the "gateway to the Three Gorges and throat of Sichuan and Hubei". It is located at the mouth of Xiangxi in Zigui County, Hubei Province, and is named after Xiling Mountain in Yichang City. It starts from Badong Guandu in the west and ends at Nanjin Pass in Yichang in the east, with a total length of 120 kilometers. In history, it is famous for its winding waterways, strange rocks, many rapids, and thrilling boating. It is the longest canyon in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, divided into four sections from top to bottom: Xiangxi Wide Valley, Upper Xiling Gorge Wide Valley, Miaonan Wide Valley, and Lower Xiling Gorge. There are famous gorges and dangerous rapids such as Bingshu Baojian Gorge, Niugan Mafei Gorge, Huangniu Gorge, Dengying Gorge, Qingtan, Xietan, Gaoling Beach, Hamabei, as well as historical sites such as Huangling Temple, Sanyou Cave, and Luyou Spring in the gorge. Xiling Gorge has no peaks or peaks, no beaches or dangers, no caves or wonders, no valleys or valleys, no waterfalls or beauties. There is no place that cannot be written into poetry or painted. Chinese and foreign tourists praise it as a "landscape gallery" and a "lively Ba style Chu charm".
