The Xiaosanxia of Daning River is also known as the famous Wushan Xiaosanxia. The Daning River originates from the central and southern mountains of Pingli County, Shaanxi Province. It flows through steep mountains and various canyons, accommodating hundreds of clear streams along the way. It passes through the treacherous cliffs between Wuxi and Wushan, and flows into the vast Yangtze River at the western entrance of Wuxi. The Daning River is diverse and mysterious. It used to be hidden and silent for a long time, but in recent years, due to the development of China's tourism industry, it has become famous overnight. Some people praise it as "not like the Three Gorges, better than the Three Gorges" and "amazing and breathtaking".

The Xiaosanxia of Daning River is a collective term for Longmen Gorge, Tiecoffin Gorge, and Dicui Gorge. It is the essence of the scenery of Daning River.Xiaosanxia starts from Wushan County in the south and ends at Dachang Ancient City in the north, with a total length of about 60 kilometers. The Little Three Gorges is adjacent to the Great Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, with over 20000 acres of lush forests and bamboo. In 1981, the Three Gorges Dam was officially opened to the public, immediately shaking the world and attracting countless visitors. In 1991, it was rated as one of the "Top 40 Tourist Attractions in China", in 2004 it was rated as a "National 4A Tourist Area", and in 2006 it was first criticized as a "National 5A Tourist Scenic Area". After entering the gorge, the peaks on both sides stand tall, the cliffs are towering, and the green bamboo hanging from the cliffs sways in various colors. On the rock wall of Hedong, there is a clear spring gurgling into the river, known as "Longmen Spring"; On the cliffs of Hexi, square stone holes can be seen, extending in an orderly manner for more than 300 kilometers until the Heishui River. These stone holes are the remnants of the ancient boardwalk.

After leaving Longmen Gorge, it is the famous dangerous beach "Yinwo Beach". Here, the mountain returns water and the beach is dangerous with fast currents, making it a perilous journey on the voyage. After crossing the dangerous shoal, one enters the Iron Coffin Gorge.The Iron Coffin Gorge is about 10 kilometers long, with dangerous peaks standing on both sides, forming groups of natural sculptures that are indescribable. On the eastern cliff, there is a long rock with shiny golden scales, which looks like a giant dragon returning from wandering outside the sky, and the dragon's head has already entered the cave; On the opposite side of the mountain, there is a cave with a yellow round stone at the entrance, like a tiger about to leave the cave; There are strings of inverted stalactites hanging from the cliffs on the west bank, resembling two galloping horses. Their heads have entered the mountain, but their tails and hind legs are still outside. So people named them Dragon in, Tiger out, and Horse Returning Mountain. In addition, there is a black hanging coffin, commonly known as the "Iron Coffin", located in the crevice of a cliff four or five meters above the water surface on the east bank of the river. The name Iron Coffin Gorge comes from this. According to research, this "iron coffin" was a hanging coffin of the Ba people during the Warring States period. It was not cast of iron, but rather due to its similar color. The best preserved hanging coffin group at present is Jingzhouba, located 25 kilometers northeast of Wuxi County, where there are 24 black coffins.

Keep moving forwardThe longest and most charming Dicui Gorge in the Little Three Gorges.The Dicui Gorge is about 20 kilometers long, with stalactites scattered throughout the gorge, dripping water from the stones and lush greenery everywhere, hence the name Dicui Gorge. In the gorge, there is a grand Chibi Mountain that sharply breaks through the riverbank, its entire body shining red and yellow. Small wooden boats pass under its feet, like ants beside the feet of great men. This is one of the twelve scenic spots of Ninghe, the "Chibi Skyscraper"; The lotus like stalactites hanging on the reddish cliffs are called 'Red Screen Emerald Lotus'; The "Guanmen Rock" standing at the center of the river is like a giant door locked, making it impossible for ships to navigate. As they approach the rock, they see a crack in the door open. However, just as they squeeze through the crack, they look back and see that the door has closed again, which is truly astonishing.
