The 12th Three Gorges Wushan Red Leaf Festival on the Yangtze River generated a tourism revenue of 180 million yuan

On January 2nd, it was learned from the Wushan County Tourism Development Commission that the 12th China Chongqing Three Gorges (Wushan) International Red Leaf Festival has successfully concluded. During the festival, a total of 425000 tourists visited Wushan to enjoy the red leaves, creating approximately 180 million yuan in tourism revenue for the county.

This year's Red Leaf Festival lasted from November 16th to December 31st last year, lasting for one and a half months. During this period, the North Ring Road of the Goddess Scenic Area opened its doors for the first time, connecting core attractions such as the Goddess Ladder, Goddess Creek, Wenfeng Scenic Area, and Goddess Peak. Along the way, in addition to the construction of 9 new Red Leaf Observation Platforms, 2200 meter Red Leaf Landscape Trail, and Wangxia Sightseeing Cableway, a vertical sightseeing elevator was also launched for tourists to enjoy a 360 degree view of the entire scenic area. In addition, Wushan County has launched multiple boutique red leaf viewing routes based on landscapes such as Red Leaf Slope, Red Leaf Valley, and Red Leaf Forest. These routes integrate mountain climbing and fitness, viewing red leaves, overlooking Wuxia, savoring clouds and rain, and cultural experiences, allowing tourists to experience the new development pattern of "tourism+" in Wushan.

This year, the successful holding of the Red Leaf Festival has also driven local villagers to increase their income, highlighting the "enriching effect" of rural tourism. At Huangyan Scenic Area in Liuping Township, Yi Guangqiong, the owner of a rural homestay, told reporters that during the Red Leaf Festival, she can receive 40 tables of tourists a day and earn more than 100000 yuan a month. There are more than 100 rural homestays like her in the local area. At the same time, Wushan County has also set up online and offline sales platforms, enabling offline experience and online purchase of characteristic agricultural products such as Quchi New Hope, Daxi Fentiao, and Dachang Snow Jujube.
