The tourism in the Three Gorges region has reached a new high, with total revenue exceeding 20%

From November 8th to 9th, the 9th Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival was held in Wanzhou, Chongqing. From January to September this year, the Yangtze River Three Gorges region received a total of 165.254 million tourists, achieving a total tourism revenue of 134.57 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of over 20%.

Since the implementation of the Hubei Chongqing rotating chairman meeting for tourism cooperation in the Three Gorges region of the Yangtze River in 2009, the two places have jointly promoted the development of tourism in the Three Gorges region through joint festivals, tourism brand marketing, development of tourism products, promotion of comprehensive tourism, and improvement of service quality.

In this event, the tourism resource development project of Luyuanping Scenic Area in Enshi City, Hubei Province, the skiing and alpine sports resort town project of Lvcongpo in Badong County, and the rural hotel project of Kaiyuan Fangcaodi in Lichuan City were signed, with a total investment of about 4.4 billion yuan. More projects are being implemented in the Three Gorges region of the Yangtze River. In the first three quarters of 2018, Yichang actually invested in the construction of 154 tourism projects, with a total investment of 7.684 billion yuan. 25 tourism projects have been launched in Enshi, with a total agreed investment of 33.035 billion yuan. These projects will promote the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry and economic and social development in the entire Three Gorges Reservoir area.
