Celebration activities continue during the Three Gorges International Tourism Festival on the Yangtze River

On November 5th, it was learned from the organizing committee of the 9th China Three Gorges International Tourism Festival that important sub events of the Three Gorges Tourism Festival, such as the Flower Show, Dahe Song Festival, and Light Show, will soon be staged, pushing the festival activities to a climax.

The China Three Gorges International Tourism Festival is a large-scale tourism event jointly hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Government and the Hubei Provincial Government. It has been held alternately in Chongqing and Hubei for 8 times, becoming a well-known cultural tourism festival brand in China. The theme of this year's Three Gorges Tourism Festival is "Magnificent Yangtze River, Poetry and Painting Three Gorges". Since its official launch on July 26th, in accordance with the principle of "joint consultation, joint planning, joint operation and sharing", various districts and counties along the Three Gorges have continuously launched a large number of exciting activities, which have attracted the attention and welcome of global tourists.

From November 6th to 8th, the highlight event of this year's Three Gorges Tourism Festival - the float exhibition will be held at Wanzhou Sports Stadium. These floats come from 14 districts and counties including Wanzhou, Fuling, Changshou, and Dianjiang. Each car is about 10 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 3 meters high, with rich shapes and colorful displays, showcasing the unique tourism resources of each region.

On November 8th, the World River Song Festival will be held at the Civic Square in Wanzhou District. The concert lasts for 90 minutes and is divided into four parts: preface, first part (Soul of the Great River), middle part (Rhythm of the Great River), and second part (Dream of the Great River). It has invited five foreign performance teams, including the Irish National Choir, Volga Choir from Volgograd, Russia, Selam Orchestra from Africa, Rhythm City City City Rhythm from the United States, Mariachi Divas from Tianya Singers from Mexico, as well as performance teams from Chongqing Opera House Symphony Orchestra, Chongqing Song and Dance Troupe, and Chongqing Three Gorges Song and Dance Troupe. The performance repertoire includes classic works showcasing the charm of the world's major river basins, such as "Beautiful Three Gorges within a Hundred Miles", "Song of the Yangtze River", "Yellow River Cantata", "Song of the Fisherman", and "Volga River Boatman's Song".

The "Three Gorges Pearl · Sparkling Pinghu" tourism cultural light show is tentatively scheduled to be held every night from November 8th to 13th. The light show consists of three parts: a river surface fluid themed light and shadow show, an environmental lighting art exhibition, and a light and shadow interactive carnival.

In addition, the "Revisiting the Yangtze River and Returning to the Three Gorges" event will also be held from November 6th to 10th. The event recruited nearly 200 foreign tourists from 32 countries who had visited the Three Gorges before 1997, as well as about 30 domestic Three Gorges tourism workers before 1997, to embark on a 5-day, 4-night free revisit trip to the Three Gorges, experiencing the new charm and charm of "one river with clear waters and green mountains on both sides".
