In order to comprehensively improve the tourist experience standards of the Three Gorges, the main hull of the eighth five-star luxury tour "Century Glory" of New Century Company has been basically constructed and is expected to be completed by the end of May 2018, with all hull contours and mechanical and electrical facilities and equipment entering the cabin. It will be officially launched in October 2018.

As the most luxurious cruise ship on the Yangtze River and known as the "five-star mobile palace", the "Century Glory" cruise ship was built by Century Cruise at a cost of 300 million yuan. It has a total length of 149.80m, a design draft of 3.0m, a vertical line length of 140.00m, a design speed of 26km/h, a width of 21.20m, a depth of 4.60m, and a passenger capacity of 650 people, which is nearly twice the passenger capacity of existing luxury cruise ships on the Yangtze River.

The hull design of the "Century Glory" cruise ship is equipped with steel double bottom and double shell escort, providing dual protection to ensure navigation safety; The highlight of the flat tail and nose ball shaped bow column design is the adoption of the world's leading core technology in the cruise industry, the "electric propulsion system", which promotes the upgrading of the propulsion mode of Yangtze River cruise ships. Three propulsion devices have been added, breaking the convention of two propulsion devices at the stern, maximizing the power efficiency, effectively improving the speed, and comprehensively optimizing the measures for vibration reduction and noise reduction of cruise ships.

Above the main hull, the six story superstructure expands passenger capacity and increases single person activity space; The design of the guest rooms is also more scientific and reasonable, and the new air circulation system can ensure the air quality of the indoor cabin, which will further improve comfort.

From various aspects such as cruise ship software and hardware facilities, green and environmentally friendly materials, intelligent science, and shock absorption and noise reduction technology, "Century Glory" has been upgraded.

In order to meet the construction schedule on time, the "Century Glory" construction project adopts a segmented construction method, dividing the ship into 18 sections. More than 100 workers are dispersed in the shipyard every day to carry out construction on different sections, effectively improving construction efficiency.

According to the construction schedule, "Century Glory" is expected to be officially launched in October 2018, and the next phase of cabin equipment installation and ship decoration projects will begin. After the overall decoration is completed in late 2019, the Century Glory will sail towards Jiangnan with a perfect image, promoting a new luxury cruise tourism route for Century Cruise in East China.

As the most important golden waterway in China, the Yangtze River has always been highly developed in terms of water transportation. In recent years, with the rapid development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the tourism shipping industry has entered a new stage. The development and construction of the first generation of cruise ships on the Yangtze River began in the early 1980s. After years of industrial development, the fourth generation of luxury cruise ships on the Yangtze River, represented by the "Century Myth" and "Century Legend" platinum series of Century Cruise ships, stood out in 2012.

Especially against the backdrop of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and Government accelerating the development of tourism in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and striving to enhance the international influence and competitiveness of Chongqing's tourism industry, Century Cruise, in accordance with the strategic positioning of the municipal government to develop five-star cruise ships as Chongqing's tourism industry, create them as Chongqing's characteristic tourism products, and cultivate them as Chongqing's tourism destinations, made another innovative move in November 2017, breaking the industry record and leading the construction of the eighth five-star luxury cruise ship "Century Glory", officially starting construction, creating the latest generation of "safe, green, intelligent, and comfortable" cruise ships, once again leading the comprehensive upgrading of the Yangtze River luxury cruise industry.
