After more than a year of careful construction, the new flagship of Guanda Century Cruise, the "Century Glory" cruise ship, has been successfully launched in the Fuling section of the Yangtze River and has entered the decoration stage. It is expected to officially launch and operate in July 2019. This is currently the cruise ship with the largest designed passenger capacity, the largest displacement tonnage, the most advanced technological content, and the highest level of intelligence in the Yangtze River Basin.
The "Century Glory" cruise ship is a new flagship ultra luxury cruise ship built by Guanda Century Cruise, a subsidiary of Guanda Holdings Group, at a cost of nearly 300 million yuan. On November 28, 2017, the "Century Glory" cruise ship started construction at Zhongjiang Shipbuilding Industry in Chongqing. It has a total length of 149.98 meters, a width of 21 meters, a depth of 4.6 meters, 6 floors, a maximum draft of 3.1 meters, a design speed of 26 kilometers per hour, a passenger capacity of 650 people, and weighs 15000 tons. It will be the largest cruise ship on the Yangtze River at present. The cruise ship is designed and built strictly in accordance with the "Code for Construction of Inland River Steel Ships" of China Classification Society, with steel double bottom and double shell escort, double protection to ensure navigation safety, and adopts a flat tail and nose ball shaped bow design. After nearly a year of construction, at 5:48 pm on November 20th, the "Century Glory" cruise ship successfully completed the lower row and safely moved to dock at the 702 barge.
The interior decoration work of the cruise ship has hired top domestic and foreign cruise design companies as design guides, and invited the famous Dutch design company Studio-L to handle the interior design of the cruise ship; Expected to be put into operation in July next year, it will engage in foreign-related tourism from Shanghai to Chongqing.
The "Century Glory" will systematically solve traditional problems such as vibration and noise of Yangtze River cruise ships, comprehensively enhancing various ultimate experiences for tourists. Unlike ordinary cruise ships that use diesel as the main propulsion power, the "Century Glory" cruise ship adopts the world's leading core technology in the cruise industry, the "electric propulsion system," to upgrade the propulsion mode of Yangtze River cruise ships. The number of propulsion devices has been increased to 3, breaking the conventional practice of 2 propulsion devices at the stern of the ship, maximizing power efficiency, effectively improving speed, and comprehensively optimizing the vibration reduction and noise reduction of the cruise ship.
Luxury cruise ships sailing on the Yangtze River generally produce noise levels above 65 decibels. The "Century Glory" cruise ship adopts the world's advanced "electric propulsion system", coupled with other high-tech shock absorption and noise reduction technologies, the cruise ship can achieve a noise level of around 45 decibels in public areas.
In addition, the "Century Glory" cruise ship has a layout design where the guest room area is located at the front and the public area is located at the rear, which keeps the vibration and noise generated by the cruise engine and propeller away from the guest room area, achieving maximum isolation of vibration and noise troubles in the Yangtze River cruise ship guest rooms. In a standard room, the noise level is only about 40 decibels, which is lower than the noise level of a regular air conditioner.
The "Century Glory" cruise ship is built strictly in accordance with the "Inland Green Ship Regulations". From various aspects such as cruise ship software and hardware facilities, green and environmentally friendly materials, intelligent science, and shock absorption and noise reduction technology, the "Century Glory" cruise ship has been upgraded. Ensure the management and control of all design, installation, testing, operation, and personnel to meet the "Green Ship" standards.
The new ship adopts environmentally friendly materials and pollution prevention treatment devices that meet the requirements, and strictly discharges according to national standards. The independent fresh air system installed in all guest rooms can quickly introduce fresh air and keep indoor air as fresh as new; Added a brand new intelligent system, making the engine room more intelligent and capable of real-time monitoring of equipment operation on both sides of the ship; With the application of "Internet plus", tourists will enjoy more convenient AI services, and their sense of experience will be greatly improved.
Since the beginning of this year, many cruise companies have begun to develop new plans for luxury cruise ship construction, and some shipbuilding companies have also received new orders for luxury cruise ships. According to Guanda Century Cruise, in the next five years starting from 2018, Guanda Century Cruise will build another six luxury cruise ships and deploy them throughout the Yangtze River basin, creating a 12 ship tourism flagship fleet under the unified brand of "Century Cruise". And Da Mei Cruise also stated that they are planning to build the "Huaxia Goddess 3" luxury cruise ship.
In the current era of high-quality development, the cruise industry, as a high-quality, high driving, and high value-added industry, will definitely occupy a place in the economy. In addition, the support from the government for the development of the private economy has also brought greater confidence to the cruise industry. For example, the "Opinions of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government on Accelerating the Development of Comprehensive Tourism" and the Chongqing Tourism Development Conference have clearly defined the development direction of cruise ships.
During this year's May Day and National Day holidays, our luxury cruise ships were fully booked. Through the changes in data, it is evident that the Three Gorges tourism is recovering. Since the beginning of this year, we have received a total of 130000 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 10 percentage points.
