On April 18th, the Yangtze River Three Gorges Cruise Center and Yichang City's major project kickoff event for April 2018 was held in the Pinghu Peninsula Bay Area. The Three Gorges Cruise Center project, with a total investment of 6 billion yuan, began construction, marking a new beginning for our city's investment promotion and project construction in the second quarter. We will take the start and construction of this project as an opportunity to promote the overall relocation and investment attraction work of projects in the Pinghu Peninsula area, vigorously promote high standard construction, and strive to build the beautiful Pinghu Bay Area into the Victoria Harbour of Yichang as soon as possible, truly leveraging the core engine role of Pinghu Peninsula and cruise center projects in achieving the goal of "one hundred million people, one hundred billion industries" in Yichang's tourism.

The Yichang Yangtze River Three Gorges Cruise Center project is a major tourism and transportation infrastructure project determined by Hubei Province and our city. The Development Plan Outline for the Yangtze River Cruise Industry in Hubei Province (2012-2025) plans to designate the Three Gorges Cruise Center as one of the three major cruise homeports along the Yangtze River in the province.

The project is located on the Pinghu Peninsula and is positioned as a cruise base in the Three Gorges region. With the core development direction of cruise ship management services and entertainment and leisure, we will focus on building cruise ship homeport docks, private yacht clubs, cruise ship management service centers, hotel clusters, etc., and strive to build a new generation of composite cruise ship homeport leisure complexes to promote the transformation and upgrading of Yangtze River tourism in Hubei Province. The planned land area for this project is 645 acres, with a construction area of approximately 680000 square meters. The designed annual passenger throughput capacity is about 2 million, and the total investment estimate is 6 billion yuan. In order to build the Three Gorges Cruise Center with high standards, in accordance with the standards of "leading domestically and world-class internationally", Mr. Tony Rossi, one of the world's top waterfront architectural design masters and one of the creators of the "Water Cube" of the National Aquatics Center, was hired to lead the team of PTW Australia and complete the planning work.
