Announcement on Upgrading the Annual Pass System of Yichang Three Gorges Tourist Scenic Area

In order to meet the needs of the times and provide better convenience for users to apply for and use, the Yichang Three Gorges Tourism Scenic Area Annual Card (hereinafter referred to as the "Yichang Tourism Annual Card") will now be fully upgraded to an electronic tourism card. The new annual pass has cancelled physical cards and can be purchased through WeChat platform. After successful application, users can directly enter the park by facial recognition. To ensure a smooth transition between the new and old systems, the following announcement is made:

1、 Starting from February 25, 2019, the current Yichang Tourism Annual Card (fingerprint physical card) will be completely discontinued.

2、 From March 1, 2019, all the annual cards of Yichang Three Gorges Tourist Attraction will be handled through the "electronic travel card" WeChat official account platform.

3、 In order to cooperate with the system launch and thank the general public for their long-term support and love for the tourism annual card, users who register and pay between March 1st and March 31st will receive a complimentary annual card valid for 3 months; From April 1st to April 30th, registered and paid users will receive an annual card with a validity period of 2 months; Registered and paid users from May 1st to June 30th will receive an annual card with a validity period of one month.

4、 Starting from July 1, 2019, the original fingerprint physical card system will be completely discontinued, and all annual card scenic spots will stop using Yichang Tourism Annual Card fingerprint cards (including Yichang Citizen Cards) to swipe and enter the park. From March 5, old users of annual cards in Yichang and Jingmen can self register on the "e-tourism card" WeChat official account and convert to e-tourism annual card users. The validity period is the same as that of the fingerprint physical card.

5、 Existing physical card users who have been sold but not activated for use are requested to redeem the "Tourism Annual Card Activation Card" of the electronic tourism annual card system at various sales outlets in Yichang and Jingmen before August 31, 2019. Failure to do so will result in no further redemption.
