On December 27th, the 7th China Tourism Industry Development Annual Conference was held in Sanya, Hainan Province. At the conference, the "2019 China Tourism Industry Influence Report" and the "2019 China Tourism Industry Influence Billboard" were released.

Through collection, expert recommendation, online selection and other links, ten scenic spots including Baidi City, Qutang Gorge, Lianyungang Huaguo Mountain, Zhoucun Ancient Shopping Mall, Nanyue Hengshan Mountain, Mount Sanqing, Jiayuguan Pass Cultural Relics Scenic Spot, Jinshitan, Langzhong Ancient City, Harbin Volga Manor, and Tianzhu Mountain were successfully rated as the 2019 annual cultural scenic spots of China's tourism influence at the seventh annual meeting of China's tourism industry development!

The China Tourism Industry Development Annual Conference is an annual national tourism industry event approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, guided by the China Press Association, hosted by the China Tourism News Agency, and supported by the Institute of Journalism and Communication of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is widely recognized by the Chinese tourism industry for its wide coverage, high level of professionalism, and significant social impact. The "2019 China Tourism Industry Influence Report" released at the meeting was jointly organized and compiled by the China Press Association, the Institute of Journalism and Communication of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the China Tourism News. It was executed by the Public Opinion Survey Laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and evaluated major tourist cities, counties, destinations, scenic spots, and tourism enterprises across the country. Baidicheng Qutangxia Scenic Area is an important part of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, the starting point of the Three Gorges, the core part of the Three Gorges Peak Landscape Group, and alsoThree Gorges Tour of the Yangtze RiverAn important tourist destination.

Baidicheng Qutangxia Scenic Area is one of the first batch of national AAAA level scenic spots and the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. The scenic area is located at the intersection of Caotang Lake in the east of Fengjie County and the Yangtze River. It is situated on the north bank of Qutang Gorge, the first gorge of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, and controls the throat of Bashu. It is surrounded by water on all sides and has a dangerous terrain.

In the late Western Han Dynasty (25 AD), Gongsun Shu, who ruled over Shu and proclaimed himself king, built a city here and proclaimed himself emperor, calling himself the White Emperor. The name White Emperor City came from this. Later generations built the White Emperor Temple in the city to commemorate the achievements of Gongsun Shu in governing Shu.

Baidi City has a long and splendid history and culture. Throughout history, literati and scholars such as Li Bai, Du Fu, Fan Chengda, Wang Shipeng, Liu Yuxi, and Lu You have served, resided, and traveled here, writing countless immortal poems that are widely known. Therefore, Baidi City is also known as the "City of Poetry". The profound and extensive Three Kingdoms culture, Jiangxia culture, and poetry culture have left numerous scenic spots and historical sites on Baidi Mountain.

Due to its typical architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties, Baidicheng was awarded the provincial key cultural relic protection unit by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government in 1980. In 1984, a large colored sculpture of "Liu Bei Tuogu" was installed in the temple.

The White Emperor Temple faces south with a total construction area of 1691.2 square meters (covering an area of about 4000 square meters), including Mingliang Hall, Tuogu Hall, Wuhou Temple, East Stele Forest, West Stele Forest, Star Watching Pavilion and seven showrooms. Its main building is Mingliang Hall, which is 22.3 meters wide, 11.2 meters deep and 8.7 meters high. It is a beam lifting structure with four columns, 14 beams and a flush gable roof roof.

Qutang Gorge

Qutang Gorge is the most concentrated landscape gallery along the Yangtze River, with a total length of 8 kilometers. Among the world-renowned Three Gorges, although it is the shortest, it is the most majestic and steep. The gorge gathers numerous famous scenic spots and historical sites such as cliff carvings, Kuiwu ancient plank roads, ancient elephant halls, Laoguan Temple cultural relics, Chijia Tower, Suojiang Iron Pillars, ancient artillery sites, hanging coffins, Phoenix Spring, Golden Cave, and Qidaomen, forming a magnificent and magnificent painting, known as the Mountain and Water Gallery.

The Qing Dynasty poet Zhang Wantao once exclaimed, 'Even with ten thousand exquisite brushes, it is difficult to write about the mountains on both sides of Qutang.'. Contemporary literary giant Guo Moruo ascended to the White Emperor and surveyed Qutang, praising it as "if the scenery is unique, this is the Three Gorges.

With the completion of the Three Gorges Dam, the natural scenery of Baidicheng Qutangxia Scenic Area remains magnificent, and the cultural landscape has added a new look. Baidi City has become a green island surrounded by water on all sides, presenting a magnificent scene of high gorges and flat lakes.

But seeing the rippling blue waves of Gaoxia Pinghu, the lush green trees of Xiandao Qiongge, and the towering Kuimen towering above the sky, the Baidicheng Qutangxia scenic area has become even more charming and enchanting, radiating a dazzling and captivating charm.

The White Emperor City stands alone, with a bleak atmosphere, hidden among the majestic and steep mountains and waters of Kuimen, appearing particularly beautiful.

The Baidicheng Island is now connected to the mainland through a wind and rain covered corridor bridge, and the Nanmentuo water area on the right side of the corridor bridge is the performance location of the large-scale landscape live performance project "Returning to the Three Gorges" directed by Zhang Yimou.
