The post disaster reconstruction of the Three Gorges Bamboo Sea Tourist Area has been completed, and the park has reopened

During the May Day holiday, after more than two years of post disaster reconstruction, the Three Gorges Bamboo Sea Ecotourism Area in Zigui County, Yichang City, Hubei Province, reopened and officially opened to tourists.

The Three Gorges Bamboo Sea Ecotourism Area is located in Maoping Town, Zigui County, adjacent to the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area, and is highly favored by tourists due to its rugged mountains and lush forests. In July 2016, mountain torrents were triggered by rainstorm, roads and related facilities in the scenic area were damaged, 82 roads shared by villages and enterprises and footpaths in the Three Gorges Bamboo Sea Scenic Area were damaged, the total length of the affected roads was about 1300 meters, 11 debris flows occurred, 12 footpaths collapsed on both sides of the scenic area, water supply, power supply and communication were all interrupted, and the scenic area was forced to close. Over the past two years, with the support of the local government, the scenic area has been re planned, adding new tourist and experiential projects such as glass skybridges, zip lines, and cliff climbing, comprehensively enhancing reception functions, expanding the capacity of the scenic area, and presenting a brand new appearance in front of tourists.

The Three Gorges Bamboo Sea Ecological Scenic Area, also known as the Sixi Ecotourism Area, is located in Maoping Town, Zigui County, Hubei Province. The central area covers an area of 20 square kilometers. Within the scenic area, there are secluded bamboo groves, small bridges flowing water, overlapping mountains, cascading waterfalls, dense vegetation, and a variety of bamboo species known for their mountains, trees, caves, bamboo, water, and waterfalls. It is known as the "natural oxygen bar" of the Three Gorges region.
