Three Gorges Family

The Sanxia Renjia Scenic Area is a national 5A level scenic spot, located in the magnificent Xiling Gorge of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, between the Three Gorges Dam and Gezhou Dam, spanning the beautiful Dengying Gorge on both sides, with an area of 14 square kilometers.

Three Gorges Dam

The Three Gorges Dam is a world-renowned hydroelectric project located in Sandouping, Yichang City, Hubei Province, in the middle section of Xiling Gorge, 38 kilometers away from the downstream Gezhouba Water Conservancy Hub Project. In 2007, the Three Gorges Dam Scenic Area became one of the first national 5A level tourist attractions.

Tanziling

Tanziling Scenic Area is the high point of the Three Gorges construction site, providing a better panoramic view of the Three Gorges Project. Tanziling is named after its appearance as an inverted jar. The total area of the scenic area is about 100000 square meters. The entire scenic area includes an observation deck, a group of reliefs, and a steel book, which comprehensively showcases the long-standing Three Gorges culture.

185 Observation Deck

Located in the Three Gorges Dam Scenic Area, on the north bank of the Yangtze River, west of Tanziling (a scenic spot near the entrance of the scenic area), it is named after its altitude of 185 meters. This is located at the left bank end of the dam crest highway (north bank of the Yangtze River), at the same height as the dam crest.

Shennong Creek

Shennong Creek was originally named Yandu River, but later changed to Shennong Creek due to the legend that Emperor Yan of Shennong went down the creek after setting up a trellis to collect herbs. The entire stream is divided into three gorge sections (from the confluence of the Yangtze River, they are Longchang Gorge, Yingwu Gorge, and Shennong Gorge) and one tributary (Mianzhu Gorge).

Wu Gorge

Wuxia (Chuanguan) starts from the Daning River in the east of Wushan County and ends at Guandu Pass in Badong County, with a total length of 46 kilometers, and is known as the Great Gorge. Wuxia is beautiful and deep, renowned throughout the world for its handsomeness. The gorge is long and deep, with abrupt peaks and layers of rolling hills. Clouds rise and fog swirl around, and the river flows in twists and turns. As boats navigate through it, it feels like entering a magnificent gallery, full of poetic and picturesque charm.

Qutang Gorge

Qutang Gorge (Ship View) The two banks of Qutang Gorge are as sharp as a cliff, with towering rock walls and a large river surging through the cliffs. It has been known since ancient times as "as dangerous as a sword pavilion and as majestic as a kui". The scenic spots and historical sites in Qutangxia are numerous and concentrated, making it convenient for tourists.

White God City

Baidi City is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River at the mouth of Qutangxia in Fengjie County, Chongqing. It is a famous tourist attraction in the Three Gorges, situated on the eastern Baidi Mountain in Fengjie. Originally named Ziyang City, it was built by Gongsun Shu, who ruled over Shu in the late Western Han Dynasty. Gongsun Shu gave himself the name Bai Di, hence the name "Bai Di City". Baidi City is a place to observe the "Kuimen World Heroes".

Shibaozhai

Located on the north bank of the Yangtze River in Zhongxian County, Chongqing, it is known as the "Pearl on the River" and is 45 kilometers away from Zhongxian County. There is a giant rock here overlooking the river, which is over ten zhang high and rises from a steep and isolated peak. It is said to be a five colored stone left by N ü wa to repair the sky, hence the name "Stone Treasure".

Fengdu Ghost City
