The Huaxia No.5 cruise ship, a new generation of world-class river cruise ships, represents a total investment of 80 million yuan and embarked on its maiden voyage on June 29, 2012. Measuring 92.3 meters in length, 18.8 meters in width, and 25.2 meters in height, with a gross tonnage of 7,800 tons and a draft depth of 2.7 meters, the ship spans 6 decks and is equipped with two sightseeing elevators, accommodating up to 234 passengers.
The Huaxia No.5 is adorned with cultural elements inspired by the legend of the Goddess of the Three Gorges, featuring sculptures, reliefs, and paintings that allow passengers to immerse themselves in the stories and historical tales of the Three Gorges. The ship's design incorporates ocean cruise ship techniques, blending modernity, dynamism, grandeur, and elegance. All cabins are equipped with private bathrooms and balconies, offering passengers dynamic, panoramic views of Chongqing's stunning nightscapes, river scenes, and mountain vistas along the two rivers and four banks. The cruise takes passengers through the most spectacular, majestic, and concentrated landscape gallery in China—the Yangtze River's Three Gorges.
The Huaxia No.5 is the first ship on the Yangtze River to adopt the design themes of "Chinese civilization, Three Gorges culture, and Goddess culture." It is also the first to utilize cutting-edge technology with "three engines, three propellers, and dual rudders," pioneering the principles of "safety, environmental protection, energy efficiency, and emission reduction."
