Cruise from Chongqing to Shanghai

I booked a Three Gorges cruise from Chongqing to Shanghai on the Meiya Three Gorges Cruise ticket booking website last year for my retired parents. My father retired a few years later than my mother and finally retired with honor last year. I immediately arranged a Three Gorges cruise trip and chose the longest route from Chongqing to Shanghai, which is only available on the Century Legend cruise. The one-way price is not low, about 17000 yuan per person.

The cost of a cruise from Chongqing to Shanghai is not low. On the official website for booking tickets for the Meiya Three Gorges Cruise, you can see that the Chongqing Shanghai Three Gorges Cruise is the Century Legend, with a one-way balcony standard room price of 16800 yuan per person. This price is relatively stable. Including the round-trip airfare to my home, I estimate that one person will spend at least 20000 yuan. If you don't buy some cute and obedient porcelain to take home when you arrive in Jingdezhen, or pray for blessings when you arrive at Jiuhua Mountain. Therefore, including some self consumption, I conservatively estimate that this trip will cost 20000 yuan per person. As a junior worker, I naturally cannot afford this price. However, the Century Legend cruise also has a trip from Chongqing to Yichang, and the one-way price is much milder compared to the price from Chongqing to Shanghai. Similarly, the price of a standard balcony room is only over 3000 yuan per person, emphasizing the scenery of the Three Gorges and avoiding other attractions in the latter half of the journey.
