Many friends who have not been to the Three Gorges will ask when is the best month to travel to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. I think it should be spring. When I took my wife and children there, it was April. The weather had just warmed up, so there was no need to bring a lot of thick clothes. When we set off, the sunshine was bright and the scenery was beautiful.

I went there in summer and felt that the weather was extreme. It was unlucky that the sun was still shining one second, and it would be heavy rainstorm the next moment. If it was heavy rain, it would still have a great impact on the scenic spots on the shore. It should be suitable in spring and autumn. From March to May and September to October, I didn't know whether the temperature was low or not in winter, but I felt it was very troublesome to travel in winter because I had to take a lot of thick clothes.

If you want to go to Chengdu, you can directly take a cruise ship to Chongqing. I took a high-speed train from Chengdu last year, which was very convenient. However, if you want to go on holidays, you must book the tickets on the official website for the Yangtze River Meiya Three Gorges Cruise in advance. I went there during the summer vacation because I booked late and couldn't find the desired room. They were all fully booked, and the summer vacation was still quite hot, especially for the scenic spots that needed to be visited ashore. I had to climb mountains and stairs, and I was sweating profusely after climbing a small section of the road. It's better to choose a cooler month for travel.

I like to go on a cruise at the end of the year because there are fewer people, and it's still very cheap to grab cruise tickets on Singles' Day. There are too many people on the cruise, and we have to queue up for everything we do.
