The Chongqing foreign-related Three Gorges cruise ship passes through Kuimen. Kuimen was originally an ancient gate, and today it is located at the west entrance of Qutang Pass in Fengjie County, Chongqing. Who would have thought that breaking through Kuimen would turn the east into the sea. The Kuimen mentioned in Comrade Chen Yi's majestic poem is located at the entrance of Qutang Gorge. It stands on both the shore and the cliff, like a huge gate standing tall on the river, with the five characters "Kuimen is the world's greatest" engraved on the rocks. Because Fengjie was called Kuizhou in ancient times, it was called Kuimen, and Qutang Gorge is also known as "Kuixia". The Yangtze River splits this gate and flows eastward, as described by the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu in his poem "The Yangtze River": "The waters will stretch for thousands, and Qutang will compete for a gate." The roaring river flows through winding canyons, passes through Kuimen, and roars towards its face. Chijia Mountain is named after the water solution containing iron oxide adhering to the surface of weathered rock layers. The soil and rock of this mountain are red in color, resembling a person's back. The Baiyanshan system is named after the aqueous solution adhered to rocks, mainly containing calcium and resembling white salt in color. Under the brilliant sunshine, Chijia Mountain appears slightly red, while Baiyan Mountain appears grayish white. Across the river, one is dressed in red while the other is wrapped in plain, making it a magnificent sight.
